This summer's hair style trends are nonchalant and pleasantly informal. Bloggers now also apply this trend to bridal hair styles – with utterly charming results
The relaxed and nonchalant summer hair styles of 2011 leave no doubt, a little less perfection is quite charming. Today, not so exacting hair styles are accepted for everyday hair styles, but does this style work for festive weddings as well? Many brides to be may reject the very idea of anything casual at their wedding. After all, every minute detail in a wedding is planned and supposed to be perfect, including the bride’s hairdo. The very idea of styling their own wedding hairdo may actually seem outlandish to quite a few brides.
Why is that? Bloggers on the 'A Cup of Jo' site already embrace this simplifying trend for bridal hairdos. The trend is not at all about saying the wedding vows with your hair in serious disarray. Instead, the idea behind it is to apply the style shown by the designers Calvin Klein and Proenza Schouler in their spring/summer 2011 collections to bridal hairdos as well. It is an expression of the new relaxed styles and a frank departure from all attempts at perfection.
The New York blogger Joanna Goddard has styled her hair into a beautiful chignon demonstrating a fantastic combination of controlled styling and skilful structuring. Of course, styling your bridal hairdo yourself takes a modicum of courage. Until a friend encouraged her, Joanna was not sure about styling her own bridal hairdo by herself either. Now, the two friends show step by step how easy it is to recreate their cool bridal look.
