Try as you may, chignons and ponytails are not to be ignored among the fall/winter hair styles. Models everywhere show how versatile these hair style classics are. In Marc Jacobs' shows, the ponytail bobs high up on top of the head, while Vera Wang’s models saunter the catwalks wearing the ponytail deep in the neck under a nifty loop. Donna Karan showcases the XXL chignon and Yves Saint Laurent sleeks the hair back into a noble twisted chignon. Those of us who like hair to flow open are not left out. Bohemian Meets Hippie: Chloé

We watched the Chloé models backstage and saw them add a touch of hippie culture to their Bohemian hair style. The results looked breathtakingly sexy. Easy directions: Work heat protectant through your hair and blow-dry it until it is almost dry. Part your hair in the middle and finish blow-drying your hair while pulling it over a round brush. As a finishing touch, roll the ends of your hair on a round brush and briefly warm it using the blow-drier. Allow the hair to cool before removing the brush. Shape your hair using your fingers; it should look slightly wild. Apply some hair spray for more hold.

    Enchanting Valentino Haute Couture

    Enchanting Haute Couture: Valentino

The Valentino Haute Couture Collection brings back memories of Russian winter tales. Golden flower tendrils in a romantic updo create this impression. Here, the hair jewellery is made of delicate flowers on gold wire. The flowers are studded with glittering stones. However, you can achieve the same look using any other Alice band made from other materials like for example thin velvet.

Easy Instructions: Part your hair in the middle. Coat your fingertips with a little styling crème before finger-combing the ends of your hair. Gather your hair (all except a few strands above the forehead) in the nape of your neck. Braid the hair in your neck and curl the braid into a loose chignon. Secure this chignon with a few hair pins. Put the jewellery around your head winding the ends around the chignon. Finally, twist the loose front hair strands around their axes before winding them around the chignon.

Roberto Cavalli combines wet-looking wavy hair and opulent hippie chic in his collection. Easy Instructions: Dry your hair and create a precise middle parting. Apply your curling iron and then allow the hair to cool. Rub some wet gel between your fingers and run them through your hair from the roots to the ends.

    Country Girl by Rodarte

This hair style by Rodarte appears simple and natural. It is fast and easy to style as well.
Easy Instructions: Create an uneven parting on one side and gather all hair over one shoulder. Slightly tease the ends of your hair to create volume and a tousled appearance. Turn the front hair around its axis once and do the same with the bulk of your hair hanging over the shoulder. Cross the two strands on the side of your head and secure the combined strands with hair pins.

Donna Karan models wear oversized chignons like ballerinas. The hair style emphasises the elegance of her collection. Gloss spray gives this hair style the flair of royalty.

Easy Instructions: Work some volumising mousse through the towel-dry hair. Then use the blow-dryer to completely dry the hair. Apply some moisturising spray to produce an extra glossy look. Twist the hair to a chignon high up on your head. For shorter or thin hair we recommend using a hair ring for volume.

    Deluxe Punk Style by Missoni

    Deluxe Punk Style by Missoni

Missoni sets off the suggestion of an Iroquois style and a punk attitude against his outfits in brave pastels. This certainly creates an intriguing contrast! Some wet-looking wisps of hair between regular hair strands emphasise the tension between the style elements. Easy Instructions: Cover your fingers with some wet gel and run them through your front and side hair but not through the long hair in the back. Sleek the side hair back and invisibly secure it underneath the hair in the back. Now, comb the front hair to the back for an austere look. Distribute some wax in the palms of your hands and then use your hands to accent a few strands of the long hair.

Ponytail with Looped Hair: Vera Wang

This hair style appears nonchalant and soft at the same time. Softly, the covering hair falls in a suggested loop over the ponytail scrunchy. Hair stylists distribute a trace of oil in the ends of the long hair so that the covering hair falls over the ponytail in a particularly soft and voluminous fashion.

Easy Instructions: Apply a flat iron to the ends of your hair after shampooing and drying. Brush your hair back and loosely gather it to a ponytail. Then push the scrunchy upward to create more hair volume in the back of your head. Apply some hair spray to the entire hairdo.

Easy Instructions: Strand by strand, pull your hair through a flat iron. Gather a ponytail high up on the crown of your head in a crunchy. Pull out one strand of hair, loop it around the scrunchy and secure the strand with hair pins. Using gloss spray intensifies the ultra-sleek look. We recommend using a nourishing hair treatment before styling this hairdo. The treatment increases the health and shine of your hair.
