  • Molly Smitten Dounes, represented the UK with her song ‘Children of the Universe’ and was awarded 40 points, coming seventeenth in the contest. German band Elaiza, were awarded 39 points to the performance of their song ‘Is it Right?’ putting Germany just after us in eighteenth place. It seems the Russian act ‘Tolmachevy Sisters’ landed in seventh place; with their somewhat unusual, connected fake ponytails.

The other female performers remained conservative in their hairstyle choices. Still, their long beach waves, glamorous retro waves and undone hairstyles were just as eye-catching. The hairstyle choices of the male singers were a little more expressive with wild rock-style manes (here demonstrated by the members of the TwinTwin band).
