• Create Kate Bosworth’s Crown Braid: One Easy Step at a Time
Apply volumising spray to your hair for increased volume and bounce. Your hair will also be more manageable. Create a low side parting. Clip the lower section of the hair to one side as you will first concentrate on styling the other half of the hair.
Separate a wide strand of hair alongside the parting from the crown of the head. Create a French plait from this section of hair, starting from the parting, working your way along the parting and continuing round your hairline along the side of your head.
Once you have reached your ear, finish it off with a simple plait, securing the ends with the hair tie.
Now separate a similar sized strand from the crown, behind the plait you have just created. Using this, create a second French plait alongside the first and again finish with a simple plait once below the ear line and secure with a hair tie.
Section a third strand of hair at or close to the parting and weave this strand into a simple braid. Guide this plait to sit parallel to the other two braids and secure this strand using hair grips at the back of the head.
Use hair grips to secure the braids from step 2 and 3 along the hairline and at the back of the head.
All three braids should now be secured along the hairline and fixed in place at the back of the head.
Now take the remaining hair on the side below the parting and braid it towards the back. Secure the end of the braid using a small hair tie and secure with hair grips at the back of the head.
Use your fingers to loosen the braids. Finally, apply some hairspray to hold your look in place.
